FIM Moto3™ World Championship – British Grand Prix

On day one of practice in England, Noah Dettwiler had little trouble getting to grips with one of the longest tracks on the calendar.
The World Championship’s visit to the traditional English circuit of Silverstone marks the end of the summer break and also the season reach its halfway point. In unusually good conditions with very warm temperatures, it was not an easy start to the weekend for all the teams.
19-year-old Noah Dettwiler, however, did not let this put him off, but instead working diligently on finding his way around the almost six kilometers-long track during this morning’s free practice session, which he did well. In Practice 1, the rider from Solothurn stepped on the gas, which he paid for with a harmless slip, losing the front in turn six. At the end of the day, the KTM rider finished 23rd in the timesheets.

«The summer break was very long for my taste. So, it is cool to be back here. It is fun to be back at the track and working with my team. It was my very first time here at Silverstone though, I think it was still a good day, even if there was a small crash in the afternoon. But that is part of it if you want to go to the limit. More importantly, we know what we need to work on for tomorrow. I am confident that we are on the right track. »
