FIM Moto3™ World Championship – Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (Montmeló, Spain) | Sunday, November 17th, 2024
On Sunday, Noah Dettwiler concluded a difficult year of learning in the top-class FIM Moto3™ World Championship, in which he scored two points. The Swiss rider finished the final race in 23rd place, significantly less behind the winner’s time than on the previous race Sundays.
The last day of racing of an exciting and long season with 20 races was crowned by glorious weather. After chilly temperatures in the morning, values rose significantly by the start of the Moto3™ race, ensuring perfect conditions on track. The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya proved to be a worthy replacement for Valencia and the event itself was a help for the region of Valencia.
Noah Dettwiler tackled the last points chase of the year from the back of the grid. In contrast to the last few races, it was not a lonely one for him, but rather he bit into the rear wheel of a rider in front of him, which he eventually passed and left far behind him to the line. The rookie season of the 19-year-old from Solothurn fell short of expectations. Dettwiler has set himself a tight program for the winter break so that he can make a breakthrough next year.
Noah Dettwiler will contest his second world championship season with the same team in 2025. The season opener will take place on the first weekend in March in Thailand.

«The last race weekend of the season was certainly not easy. We had a solid start compared to the previous weekends, but unfortunately, we took a step back on Saturday. The aim for today’s race was to finish with a good feeling. I gave it all my best. Nevertheless, we cannot be satisfied because we were too far off. It began with a start that was suboptimal. After a few laps, I was able to find my rhythm and catch up with a rider in front of me, overtake him and pull out a lead. I think that is definitely positive and now we will work on our weak points over the winter and prepare as well as possible for next season. »
