Noah Dettwiler was unable to finish higher than 24th in the eleventh race of 2024 FIM Moto3™ World Championship on Sunday, although he was able to put up a fight against his direct rivals thanks to a better feeling than on the previous day.
Race day in Styria, the green heart of Austria, began with a misty sky as a remnant of a thunderstorm with heavy downpours late on Saturday evening. For the Moto3™ riders, the race took place in significantly cooler temperatures than the sessions on the previous days.
19-year-old Noah Dettwiler, who had started the weekend with a solid performance during Friday’s practice sessions but was unable to build on his good feeling on Saturday, went into Sunday with dampened expectations. In the race, the talented Swiss rider slightly returned to his normal level of performance over the course of the 20-lap distance. Unfortunately, it was not enough to get any further forward.

«The race was one of the more difficult ones, even though the feeling for the bike was good. I struggled to find the pace at the beginning. Unfortunately, by the time my pace was good, and I was able to fight with the others in my group, it was already too late. During the chase to catch up with the group, which I had lost contact with, in the meantime, I got a long lap penalty due to exceeding track limits, which I completed on the last lap. Spielberg started well. That is why we will take the positives with us and give it our all again in Aragón to get back on track. »
