For Noah Dettwiler, the 16th race of the season on Sunday was over after just three corners.
Noah Dettwiler’s first trip to Japan came to a painful end. After a difficult weekend, in which he nevertheless set some highlights, the 19-year-old Moto3™ rookie crashed in turn three right after the start and required medical treatment at the track. After an initial examination at the circuit’s Medical Center, Dettwiler was transported by air lift to a nearby hospital for a CT scan, where he was diagnosed with a fracture as a result of the violent impact on his coccyx.
Dettwiler has now left the hospital and is on his way to Tokyo. In the meantime, those close to him are trying to organize his return to Switzerland as soon as possible. Further examinations are planned in Switzerland in order to get a precise picture of the injury and also to draw up a rehabilitation plan so that Dettwiler can get back on his racing bike as soon as possible.
