Race report Dutch TT, Assen | To take the positives to Germany

FIM Moto3™ World Championship – TT Assen
TT Circuit (Assen, Netherlands) | Sunday, 30th June, 2024

For Noah Dettwiler, the visit to the Assen’s «Cathedral of Speed» was not worth. After 23rd place in Sunday’s race, he could hardly hide his disappointment.

Throughout the weekend, the 19-year-old Moto3™ World Championship rookie from the canton of Solothurn was unable to find a rhythm for the unique TT Circuit in the north of the Netherlands. The many fast and flowing changes of direction over the course of a lap sometimes require a lot of effort to get the bike to fly. Dettwiler also went into the race with the disadvantage of a «Long Lap» penalty, which also had a negative effect on his concentration.

However, the ambitious racer no longer wants to lament Assen, but has already turned his focus to the next race weekend. The championship enters its next round next weekend with the Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland at the legendary Sachsenring.

«Assen was a very difficult weekend for me. I was able to build up a better feeling on Saturday morning, but I couldn’t benefit from this in qualifying. The race was accordingly. I also had to do a long lap. So, the disappointment is huge. But luckily the next race is only a few days away and we can take the positives with us. Hopefully things will go better again at the Sachsenring.»
