Preview Grand Prix de France | «Save The Date»: Bonjour Le Mans – ALLEZ Noah Dettwiler

FIM Moto3™ World Championship – Grand Prix de France
Bugatti Circuit (Le Mans, France) | Wednesday, May 8th 2024

This weekend’s Grand Prix de France is especially marked in the calendar of the 19-year-old Swiss Moto3™ World Championship rookie.

Noah Dettwiler can definitely call the championship’s visit to France as his home Grand Prix due to its proximity to Switzerland. However, he will actually be racing this weekend in front of his CIP Green Power Team home crowd. The team is based in the south of France.

The venue in Le Mans, around 200 km southwest of Paris, is a historic place. The city on the Sarthe gained worldwide fame through the «24-hour» car race. In the mid-sixties, a Grand Prix circuit was added to the 13 km long circuit for what is probably the toughest car race, and the Grand Prix de France was regularly held here until 1995. After a four-year interruption, the motorcycle world championship returned to Le Mans back in 2000. For some years now, the event has been a real crowd puller. Last year, a new record was set with almost 300,000 visitors.

Swiss television will be showing the race live on SRF2 on Sunday. The broadcast starts at 10:50 am. For viewers from Switzerland and Austria, all of the weekend’s sessions can be seen on the video and streaming platform “ServusTV On” with English commentary. In Germany, the broadcasts on Saturday and Sunday can be seen in a free live stream on ServusTV, while DF1 also broadcasts the Moto3 qualifying and the race on Sunday live. Alternatively, there is also the live stream on the official MotoGP website, where all sessions of all classes will be streamed, as at every Grand Prix. However, a paid video pass is required for this. Another option for Germany is a paid subscription to Sky Sport.

#55 Noah DETTWILER (CIP Green Power, KTM RC250GP):

«Le Mans is a new track for me and I’m really looking forward to it. It’s a stop-and-go track. We will continue the work from Jerez with the team on Friday and hopefully make further progress. Above all, we need to be more aggressive at the start of the race.»
