FIM Moto3™ World Championship – TT Assen
TT Circuit (Assen, Netherlands) | Wednesday June 26th, 2024
After a three-week spring break, FIM Moto3™ World Championship returns this weekend with its eighth event of the season at Assen in the north of the Netherlands.
No other Grand Prix has such a long tradition as the World Championship’s visit to Assen. Moreover, the date on the last weekend in June is inextricably linked to this event. Since the introduction of the Motorcycle World Championship back in 1949, the TT Assen has been a fixed date in the Grand Prix calendar.
Assen is also unique because of its track. Hardly any other track impresses with its predominantly fast and flowing layout. In addition, the last chicane before the start/finish line has been the scene of countless dramas that have decided between victory and defeat. Noah Dettwiler knows Assen from the races in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, among other things.
Swiss television will be showing the race live on Sunday via stream on srf.ch. The broadcast starts at 10:50 am. Viewers from Switzerland and Austria will still be able to watch all of the weekend’s sessions on the video and streaming platform «ServusTV On», albeit with English commentary. In Germany, the broadcasts on Saturday and Sunday can be seen in a free live stream on ServusTV.com, while DF1 will also broadcast the Moto3 qualifying and the race on Sunday live. Alternatively, there is also the live stream on the official MotoGP website, where all sessions of all classes will be streamed, as at every Grand Prix. However, a paid video pass is required for this. Another option for Germany is a paid subscription to Sky Sport.
#55 Noah DETTWILER (CIP Green Power, KTM RC250GP):
«After these three weekends off racing, I am glad that the championship continues in Assen. I am also really looking forward to this track. However, it has been five years since I last rode there. But I still have fond memories of the layout and its unique characteristics. So, I am looking forward to starting work with my team again this weekend.»
