FIM Moto3™ World Championship – Grand Prix of Germany
Sachsenring (Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Germany) | Saturday, July 12th, 2025
On a rainy Saturday in Germany, Noah Dettwiler made it into Q2 for the second time this year and will start from the fifth row on Sunday.
Rainy weather on the second day of the German Grand Prix did not affect 20-year-old Noah Dettwiler. As he has done several times this year, the KTM rider showed his skills on a wet track again. He already shone in the morning with third place on the timesheet in the second free practice session.
He then went into the qualifying heats shortly after lunch time with boosted confidence. Dettwiler came through Q1 in fourth place, which secured him a place in Q2.
In the time attack for the best grid positions, which took place in light rain, Dettwiler qualified for 14th place. This is his best qualifying position so far this year. Dettwiler last made it into Q2 at the end of April in Jerez. On that occasion, he ended up in P18, albeit in dry conditions.
The race can be streamed on SRF Play from 10:50 a.m., just as the «ServusTV» broadcast can be seen on free-to-air television in Switzerland. Alternatively, there is the «ServusTV On» app and the paid livestream on the official MotoGP™ website.

«After yesterday’s good practice sessions, I had actually hoped for dry weather, but now I am also very happy with today. We did a solid job even in wet conditions. In FP2 this morning I was able to find a strong rhythm and improve lap by lap. Towards the end I took a bit more risk, which paid off. It was a good feeling to finish the session in third place. Of course, that boosted my confidence either. In Q1, I made it into Q2 with fourth place. But the decision was very close. In any case, it was another good step. We can be satisfied with the second qualifying heat. P14 on the starting grid is definitely a good position. We made it into Q2 for the second time. However, I think that a bit more would have been possible, because I did not manage to put in a perfect lap. But we remain positive and looking forward to the race tomorrow, which will be very long with 23 laps at this track. Congratulations to my teammate Scott Ogden for pole position! »
